My workouts-

A big part of this little blog for me is to keep track of workouts. Also, hopefully someday someone will look at this and critique them or tell me to do more. The last 4 days have been ok. SZ was at Cooler, but I was enjoying family time at home, I did manage to slip away for some runs

Sat - ~4.25 miles 26:30ish. FYI slower then the new world record in the 10k, that means I would have been laped 8 times.
Sun - 3/4 miles up and 1/2 mi down, 6 400s (68-69) 3 200s (30-31). Wanted to do 4 + 4, but felt pretty good with the quarters until after 6 and then felt like 400 was too much. Felt good after so I probably could have done more. I was doing 90 second rest and then 2 minutes rest after the 5th quarter (a bigger rest after 4 quarters)
Mon - ez 25 minutes on the river road from school
Tue - 3/4 mi up and down, ladder of 50-60-70-80-90-100 (2 of each, so 2 50s, 2 60s, etc). Start the watch at the first minute and every minute you do the next sprint. The 2nd set was the same thing except 100-90-etc... Felt good again. A month ago I was struggling with these workouts now I am starting to feel good. The 100s were 14.0-14.2. Not that fast.

My other proud achievement is the ipod I got for my birthday. I feel very techie now. I have 6 cds on there right now, REM Life's rich pageant (best rem album), The Tragically Hip phanton power (best album most do not know about), Radiohead hail to the thief, Garbage version 2.0, White Stripes get behind me satan and The Vines highly evolved.

The ipod is great and I tried running with it on Monday. Worked out well and I did not fall while running, so I think my ez runs will be antoher excuse to listen to the ipod!

Does this thing work? I hope so.

Sub Zero just won the cheesecow at Cooler. Unfortunately, I could not attend and Truck + Machine were not there. They elected for the "new" choptank (and neither made the quarters, I need to find out what happened).

Not much comp besides some Madison current + alum teams. KC looks solid again, it will be interesting to see how they do at Tune Up and Regionals. The finals was something like 15-12. With our d failing to convert some early goals and their d getting some breaks late in the game. Can't wait for Tune Up, er, Heavyweights. I am tired of working out over weekends when my team is winning tourneys. Maybe there is something to that.

I did get to watch Ray and Fog of War this weekend. Good movies, I loved Fog. If you are a history buff, you should watch. If we get a chance to get away, I want to see Aristocrats (high on the Dikeman rating) or St. Ralph. But most likely, we will wait for the DVD.

Lucy is awake, time to stop this.
